The French League of Youth Hostels (L.F.A.J.) and the International Union of French-Speaking countries Youth Hostels (U.I.A.J.P.F.) are non-profit organisations gathering an important network of Youth Hostels located in France, French overseas and French-speaking countries in Africa and Indian Ocean.

Their goal is to enable people from all over the world to discover new cultures  and to meet other travellers, in their Youth Hostels.

Youth Hostels are lively places where one can meet and learn about the others. Alone, in couple, in family or in groups, one can stay at Youth Hostels located by the seaside, in the countryside or in towns. They offer cheap accommodations and welcome individuals, groups (with prior booking), families and couples in dormitories of 8, 6, or 4 beds. They can also offer you individual and double rooms. Most of the rooms have private toilets, wash-hand basins, showers or bathrooms. Some Youth Hostels also offer camping pitches.

To boot, Youth Hostels can also organise - for holidays or short week-ends - various cultural and sports activities, such as theatre, sailing, hiking and riding. In order to stay in a Youth Hostel, you need to get a membership card. You can directly buy it at L.F.A.J. or in any Youth Hostel. Membership cards have a period of validity of 1 year (from the date of purchase) and give access to all Youth Hostels in France or abroad.

You can book on-line on our Website!
